Pastor Vic A. Russell is the Senior Pastor/Teacher of St. Matthew Baptist Church in Vacaville, California. Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri by Jimmie and Willie Mae Russell (White), he received his primary, secondary & high school education from the St. Louis Board of Education School District, receiving his high school diploma from the Academy of Math and Science. He began his Biblical training at Carver Bible College in Atlanta Georgia where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Bible and continued his learning at Crossroads Theological Seminary where he received his Master of Biblical Studies degree with a Minor in Christian Counseling. He was called as a minister of the gospel by True Followers in Christ Church of Decatur, Georgia in 1994 as the Associated Pastor and licensed and ordained as Senior Pastor in 1996.

Pastor Russell has broad and varied pastoral experience, serving as pastor/church planter of churches in the Atlanta area and as an itinerant preacher in the US as well as Lagos, Nigeria and the surrounding townships.

Some of his community affiliations include: Member of Health Care for the Homeless Committee Council; Coalition for Better Health; Heroes of Solano; and a volunteer for Prison Fellowship.

Pastor Russell has former employment experience as Security Director for a Fortune 500 company, Social Service Specialist for Dual-Diagnosed clients in the Atlanta area, and Shelter Manager for Mission Solano Rescue Mission in Fairfield. He is married to Jill "Honey" Russell. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Mishea'la and Kae’sha.

Pastor Vic A. Russell is a faithful husband, a caring father, a dynamic preacher/teacher, able leader, and a Christian gentleman. He is dedicated to winning souls for Jesus Christ through preaching the gospel and making disciples for the purpose of spiritual maturity.
